Tour Overview

This immersive 12-day journey takes you deep into the heart of Mongolia’s most authentic festival experience — the Soum Naadam, celebrated in rural districts across the country. Unlike the large-scale Naadam in Ulaanbaatar, the soum Naadam provides a rare chance to live alongside nomadic herders, prepare racehorses, and celebrate in a truly traditional way.

During this tour, you’ll spend several days with a herding family in Bayan-Onjuul soum, Tuv Province, helping train racehorses and experiencing the culture of child jockeys, horse training rituals, and the vibrant spirit of Naadam. You’ll witness the famous “Three Manly Sports” — wrestling, horse racing, and archery — as well as local festivities, food, and music.

After Naadam, the adventure continues into Mongolia’s Gobi landscapes, visiting Baga Gazriin Chuluu with its granite rock formations, and the colorful cliffs of Tsagaan Suvarga before returning to Ulaanbaatar for a cultural city tour.

This tour combines cultural immersion, festival excitement, and natural wonders into one unforgettable journey.
