This 11day tour combines long-distance overland driving with a unique horseback expedition in the eastern steppes of Mongolia. Starting from Ulaanbaatar, you will journey east through Khentii province—homeland of Chinggis Khaan—before reaching Choibalsan, the center of Dornod province.
From there, the true adventure begins: several days of horseback riding across vast grasslands, experiencing the nomadic lifestyle firsthand. You will ride Mongolian horses, herd livestock with local herders, and even participate in a traditional horse race. Nights will be spent in tented or ger camps, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nomadic traditions.
The return trip retraces the steppe routes, with overnight stays in both Choibalsan and Chinggis City before concluding in Ulaanbaatar with a farewell dinner and city impressions.
