For centuries, Mongolians have worshipped and appeased Heaven, Earth, and the Land Spirits (Lus). Rooted in the belief that Mother Nature is alive and every living thing has its master, shamans invite the spirits into their bodies, appease the Lus Kings, and pray for the well-being of the people.
“LUS WASHING SHAMANIC ritual will be held at Altankhundagany Tal, Darkhan-Uul province, on the banks of the Kharraa River. This one-day cultural journey offers participants the chance to witness an authentic shamanic ceremony of nature worship, where fire, water, and land spirits are honored in their ancestral homeland.
