The “Imperial Sky Samgaldai” Center was established in 2009 with the purpose of disseminating and spreading the history, culture, heritage, traditions, and ancestral instructions of the indigenous nomads, preserving and protecting tangible and intangible cultural heritage, and performing rituals to appease and worship mountains, waters, heaven, and earth for the peace and tranquility of the state and the people. Today, it has left behind sixteen years of history.
Between 2009–2015, they traveled correctly around the Sun across Mongolia, summoning the masters of all sacred mountains, and finally united them on the summit of the Sayan Range’s Bürenkhaan Mountain.
Between 2016–2020, they went on a quest called “In Search of the White Lus”, where the southern side is Tenger Mountain and the northern side reaches the confluence of the Angar-Yenisei Rivers, gathering together the nine great heavens of the White Lus, who are the lords of the “White Banner with Nine Tails.”
From 2017–2019, in cooperation with the Governor’s Office of Khuvsgul Province, they conducted the “Blue Pearl” international festival fire ritual, and together with the Ministry of Culture and the Department of Culture, they promoted the provincial museum to foreign and domestic visitors, showcasing the cultural heritage of indigenous nomads to about 40,000 citizens. This work was honored by the Governor of Khuvsgul Province as the best event.
In 2019, together with Mr. Baatar, one of China’s top photographers, they organized a photographic chronicle of the cultural heritage and present image of the blue-spotted Mongol five tribes’ lands, which include Inner Mongolia, Outer Mongolia, Altai Republic, Khakassia, Tuva, and Buryatia in the Russian Federation, and successfully exhibited it at SM030.
In 2021, despite the difficult lockdown period of the pandemic, they opened in Altai the fierce Black Banner Spirit’s heaven, with the help of the White Lus, by traveling correctly around Mongolia.
Between 2021–2022, in cooperation with the Swiss Development Agency, they successfully implemented the “MAANAR” project for ten months to introduce and promote to the world the lifestyle of the Darkhad ethnic group of Khuvsgul Province, the indigenous nomadic way of life, and the Tsaatan reindeer herders.
It became the best project of 2022, promoting and introducing the tangible and intangible heritage of Mongolians to the world.
In 2022–2023, they brought the Lus Heaven of the Tost Toson Bumb Mountains, which are the sacred expanse of Mongolia, to Zurkh Mountain of Mongol Sharyn Pass, which is considered the place of honor, and connected the Lus lords of the Black Lus triangle, quadrangle, and circular seal.
In 2024, crossing the high threshold of the Land of the Khans, with the help of Bukh Noyon Heaven, they reached Khuagchin Heaven, brought down and enshrined the Khar Suld (Black Banner) Spirit Lord Heaven at the Black Banner Ovoo in the land of the Khans, and revived the Khevtuuliin Heaven, which was announced.
Together with Provincial and District Governor’s Offices and the Labor and Social Welfare Service Departments, they organize donation campaigns for target households, providing assistance every year, and it has become a tradition to give gifts to children in remote provinces and districts on the occasion of New Year celebrations every year.
Global climate change and staying close to Mother Nature, worshipping, cherishing, and protecting it have become important issues for humanity.
Indigenous nomads are spiritually connected with nature and, through shamanic rituals, interact with the mountain and water lords (sacred spirits), thus distinguishing themselves through history, culture, pristine sacred nature, and religion, while also bringing world travelers and tourists to visit Mongolia.
