The highest point in Mongolia’s 1.5 million square kilometer territory is Khüiten Peak, the main summit of the Mongol Altai Mountain Range, located in the Altai Tavan Bogd Mountains. In this area, you will also see the beauty of the Tsagaan River, which originates from the permafrost glaciers. The snow-covered, icy peaks are naturally stunning and will make your journey unforgettable.
You will be picked up from the airport and taken to your hotel, have an introductory dinner, and rest.
From your hotel in Ulaanbaatar, you will be transferred to Chinggis Khaan Airport to fly to Ulgii.
After arriving in Ulgii, you will have lunch and continue by car to Tsengel soum of Bayan-Ulgii Province. Overnight stay on the banks of the Khovd River.
Wake up early and travel from the Khovd River to the Tsagaan River in the Altai Tavan Bogd area, near the border patrol station. Overnight stay.
After resting by the Tsagaan River, load your luggage, tents, and supplies onto horses or camels and ride 20 km to reach the glacier of Altai Tavan Bogd.
Return from the destination back to the vehicles and mobile camp on the banks of the Tsagaan River. Overnight stay.
Travel to Tsengel soum and stay overnight on the banks of the Khovd River.
Arrive in Ulgii city and take a city tour. The next day you will return to Ulaanbaatar.
