Alongside the vast steppe lies the Great Gobi’s sand dunes, rare plants, and wildlife. Travel through this stunning region full of unforgettable memories.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1In Ulaanbaatar

Regardless of which country the travellers arrive from or what time they arrive in Ulaanbaatar; they will rest and stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 2Ulaanbaatar to Tsagaan Suvarga – 460 km

Travel to the naturally beautiful site of Tsagaan Suvarga, located in the territory of Ölziit soum, Dundgobi Province, and stay overnight there.

Day 3Tsagaan Suvarga to Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountains – 150 km

Continue traveling from Tsagaan Suvarga to the famous Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountains located in Ömnögovi Province.

Day 4Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountains to Khongoryn Els – 230 km

Reach Khongoryn Els, a world-famous sand dune in the territory of Sevrei soum, Ömnögovi Province. Stay overnight there.

Day 5Camel Trekking Day at Khongoryn Els – 20 km

Tourists who reach the vast Mongolian Gobi will ride horses and camels for 20 km across the sand dunes of the desert mountains.

Day 6Khongoryn Els to Khatan Suudal – 280 km

This is a long travel day through uninhabited Gobi Desert regions. You will pass through the globally known Nemegt Basin, where dinosaur fossils were discovered. Along the way, you will see many interesting things, cross the Nemegt mountain range, and reach the unique land formation of Khatan Suudal in Bayangiin Gobi. Lunch will be served in the field with a mobile kitchen during the journey.

Day 7Khatan Suudal to Arvaikheer – 300 km

The travelers who departed from Ulaanbaatar will travel to Arvaikheer, the center of Övörkhangai Province, and stay overnight at a comfortable hotel.

Day 8Arvaikheer to Elsen Tasarkhai – 180 km

Rest and stay overnight at the tourist camp in Elsen Tasarkhai, located near Mount Batkhaan and Mount Khugnu Khan. This is a region where forested mountain and Gobi Desert landscapes merge.

Day 9Elsen Tasarkhai to Khustai to Ulaanbaatar – 300 km

From the camp near Khugnu Khan Mountain, travel to Khustai Mountains to see the wild takhi horses, then continue to Ulaanbaatar. In the evening, there will be a tour closing event.

Day 10Ulaanbaatar – Return Flight

Journey home.
