Day 3 (July 11)National Naadam Festival in UB

Day 6 (July 14)Tsagaan Suvarga - Yol Valley (280 km by car)

  • Drive to Yolyn Am (Yol Valley) in Gobi Gurvan Saikhan NP.
  • Hiking & photo opportunities in ice gorge (even in soummer).

Day 7 (July 15)Yol Valley - Khongoryn Els Sand Dunes (200 km by car)

  • Drive across desert steppe to Khongoryn Els.
  • Climb dunes, camel ride optional, sunset photography.

Day 8 (July 16)Khongoryn Els - Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs (150 km by car)

  • Travel to Bayanzag, the famous Flaming Cliffs.
  • See red sandstone canyons, fossil area, and saxaul trees.
  • Visit camel herder family, short camel ride.
  • Overnight in ger camp.

Day 9 (July 17)Bayanzag - Ongii Monastery (150 km by car)

  • Head north to ruins of Ongiin Khiid, once one of the largest monasteries.
  • Explore restored temples & riverside camp.
  • Overnight in ger camp.

Day 10 (July 18)Ongii Monastery - Kharkhorin (300 km by car)

  • Drive to Kharkhorin, 13th-century Mongol capital.
  • Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery and Kharkhorin Museum.
  • Overnight in ger camp.

Day 11 (July 19)Kharkhorin - Tsenkher Hot Springs (115 km by car)

  • Travel to Tsenkher Hot Springs.
  • Relax in mineral hot springs.
  • Optional massage & spa treatments.

Day 12 (July 20)Tsenkher - Ogii Lake (240 km by car)

  • Visit Turkic monuments (Kül Tigin & Bilge Khan).
