This tour is the same as the Reindeer Migration Tour and will also take place in winter. Since the two tours appear identical in content and meaning, it raises the question of how to differentiate between them.
On the designated arrival day, our guide and driver will meet you at the airport with a sign. You will be transferred to the hotel.
Activity: Dinner and introduction with your guide and driver.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel by car from Ulaanbaatar to Murun, the center of Khuvsgul Province. Lunch at a roadside restaurant, then dinner and overnight at a guesthouse in Murun
Wake up early, have breakfast at the guesthouse, and depart toward Tsagaannuur soum. Traveling by rough dirt road, you will reach the host nomadic family after an 8–9-hour drive.

From Kharmain River in Tsagaannuur soum, you will travel on horseback to the western taiga. After an early breakfast, you will ride toward the area where the reindeer are located. Lunch on the way, and by evening you will arrive at the host Tsaatan family. Dinner at the Tsaatan home, and accommodation in the urts (traditional dwelling) to experience the Tsaatan lifestyle.
This day will be spent getting to know the life of the Tsaatan household. As you are in a new environment, you will explore and learn many new things by asking and observing. Since the migration starts early the next day, you will spend the day preparing for it. Naturally, meals will be cooked and eaten in the urts.
The Tsaatan people will gather their reindeer early, pack their belongings, ride and herd the reindeer, and migrate from summer pasture to autumn camp. You will accompany this memorable journey.
Since reindeer go out to pasture very early, you will rise with the dawn, catch the reindeer, and let them graze. You will spend the day participating in the daily life of the Tsaatan family.
You will settle into the new location, organize your camp and enjoy the new environment, rich in plants and pasture suitable for reindeer. Dinner will be filled with stories about the reindeer migration. Preparations for the return journey will be made before bed.
As the road back is long, you will depart early. Lunch en route, and by evening you will reach the place where the car is parked.
Travel from Tsagaannuur soum to Murun Upon arrival, check into a guesthouse and stay overnight.
After breakfast at the guesthouse, return to Ulaanbaatar by car. Lunch at a roadside restaurant and arrive in Ulaanbaatar by evening to check into your hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the international airport.
