Travel to Kharkhorin and visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery.
In 1580, Abatai Sain Khan, together with his brother Tumenkhan , met the Third Dalai Lama and promised to establish a monastery in their homeland. On the Dalai Lama’s advice, they restored an old temple site in Kharkhorum. In 1585, they completed the reconstruction at the ancient city of Takhai Balgas, which is now known as the central Zuu Temple of Erdene Zuu Monastery. This is recorded in the manuscript biography of Undur Gegeen.
From the resort at Khugnu Khan Mountain, we visit Khustai Nuruu to see the wild Takhi horses, then continue to Ulaanbaatar.
